Clarity – a top product of 2021 in the AccountingWEB Software Awards

We were excited with the announcement that Clarity are runners up in 2 categories of the 2021 AccountingWEB Software Awards!

AccountingWEB’s annual software awards have become a benchmark for customer satisfaction. Accountants voted for their favourite software in 10 different categories over the course of 2021. The results from more than 7,500 votes have now been compiled and announced on 9 February 2022.

We are delighted to be one of the top products in both the Forecasting, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Practice Management software categories.

Forecasting, Planning & Analysis

We were sad to lose our Winners Crown in the 2020 AccountingWEB Software Awards. However, we are still delighted to be named as this year’s runner up, in such a hard fought category.

The judges noted, “Forecasting apps grew rapidly in 2020, but only around 25% of accounting practices have built these tools into revenue-generating service lines. Float overcame last year’s top product Clarity, a practice advisory/forecasting hybrid, to gain the top spot in this category. Among these users, the expediency of using forecasting tools built into the main accounting platforms (such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Accounting etc) is outweighed by the greater functionality of specialist apps.”

Practice Management Software

This was our first year in this category. And, although we are a platform for accounting firms, we really wouldn’t consider ourselves as a true practice management or CRM system (as all the other top products in this category).

Cloud revolution

Our friends at AccountancyManager were the winners. Judges noted that, “the cloud revolution continues to sweep through the practice management world” and it’s, “a field that continues to evolve with the advances in technology and the shift in working patterns driven by the pandemic.”

They also noted that, “practice management tools have received a surge in interest in recent years as firms seek to reap the efficiencies promised by digital processes”.
